The past few weeks, a lot of the northern hemisphere has been hit with snow, ice and plenty of frosty weather, which means that streets, pavements and bicycle paths are drizzled generously with salt. Salt can be terrible for leather shoes, but luckily we have a simple remedy to get rid of the stains.
You will need:
Water
Vinegar (5%)
Kitchen paper
A pair of shoes with salt stains
Mix 1 part water with 1 part vinegar
With the kitchen paper, use the vinegar and water mixture to wipe off the salt stains.
